Hyderabad: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has released PhD Admission Notification for 2018-19 session. Fellowship benefits are available for PhD scholars.
The PhD programmes are offered by IIT Hyderabad is Bio Medical Engineering, Bio Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Liberal Arts, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and Physics. The Liberal Arts department offers PhD in the following specialization: Anthropology, Economics, English, Psychology, and Sociology.
Key Dates: The closing date for submission of application is 16 April 2018. However, for civil engineering department, the closing date is 24 April 2018 while for Chemistry department, the closing date is 22 April 2018.
The PhD admission will be based on written test and interview. Some departments may skip the written test and select candidates directly via interview only depending on the number of eligible applicants.

Fellowship: IIT Hyderabad informed that as per current norms, MHRD institutional fellowships are available. Fellowships include monthly stipend of Rs 25,000 for the first two years (at JRF level) and Rs 28, 000 for the next three years (at SRF level). There is a provision of 30% HRA in case IITH can not provide campus accommodation to the student. Industry fellowships sponsored by big corprates also available in some specific departments.
