Gandhinagar: Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Vadodara, an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of HRD, has released PhD Admission Notification for 2019-20 Autumn Session.
Key Date: The closing date for receipt of online application is 25 June 2019.
Applications are invited for admission to PhD Programme (Autumn 2019-2020) in the following specialization areas:
*IoT, 5G communications, Visible light communications
*Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Signal processing, Compressed sensing
*Remote sensing, Medical imaging, Image analysis
*Information security & privacy, Blockchain technology
*Low power VLSI designs, Nano-electronics, Device circuit co-design
* Commutative algebra
Eligibility Conditions:
A candidate should have consistently good academic records:
Engineering
First class in M.Tech./ME in CS/IT/ECE or related areas, OR
First class in M.Sc. Applied Mathematics/Computer Science and related areas, OR
Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
Sciences:
M.Sc. in Mathematics/Physics/Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science and related area, OR
M.Tech. Material Science/Nano-Technology/Applied Optics/Engineering Physics/Scientific Computing,
OR
Exceptional candidates with more than 8.00 CPI on scale of 10 in B.E/B.Tech. in relevant areas may also be considered.
The candidates appearing for the final semester/year examinations of the qualifying degree in 2018 may also apply to the respective programs. The admission is subject to the condition that, if admitted, they should submit a provisional degree certificate or any other proof of completion of requirements for the award of the degree.
Teaching/Research Assistantship: Teaching/Research Assistantship of INR 26,000 (per month) upgraded to INR 32,000 (per month) after two years and upon clearing the PhD comprehensive examination.
Students with CSIR JRF qualified may avail the scholarship.
