Nagpur: Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has invited applications for PhD (Full Time) program admission for January 2019 session. There are 15 departments where PhD admission has been sought. Candidates, who’s ME / MTech/ MArch/ MPlan / MSc result is awaited, can also apply for PhD program.
List of Subjects in which PhD admission is available:
Engineering: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Chemical, Metallurgical & Materials, Mining, Applied Mechanics.
Architecture and Planning:
Applied Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities.
Eligibility criteria:
Engineering: Post Graduate degree in engineering/ technology (ME/MTech/MArch or equivalent). GATE / NET qualified are additional qualification.
Applied Sciences: Post Graduate (M. Sc./M.A. or equivalent) Degree in Basic Science or Graduate Degree in Professional Course. GATE / NET qualified are additional qualification.
Selection: All candidates will be required to appear for the written test, which will be conducted in the respective departments on the date specified in the information brochure. Further, the candidates shortlisted on the basis of performance in the written test shall be interviewed.
Financial Benefits for PhD (Full Time) with Teaching Assistantship: For PhD (Full Time) with Teaching Assistantship, Post Graduate (M. Sc. or equivalent) Degree in Basic Science with NET/GATE Qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET/ GATE Qualification, Rs 25,000 /- Per Month.
Post Graduate degree in engineering/ technology (M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. or equivalent) with NET/GATE qualification, Rs. 25,000/- (1st & 2nd Year) and Rs. 28,000/- (3rd year onwards).
