Allahabad, 26 October 2023: University of Allahabad, a Central University in Uttar Pradesh, has announced Combined Research Entrance Test (CRET) 2023 for admission to PhD Programmes. These PhD programmes are available in the university main Campus and its 10 Constituent Colleges.
Total Vacant PhD Seats: 51 subjects comprising 1148 seats, out of which 733 seats are in University Departments/Centres and 415 seats in Constituent Colleges of the University of Allahabad.
From this year, the University shall offer PhD programme in three foreign languages (Russian, French and German) and two other subjects: Experimental Mineralogy and Petrology, and Gandhi and Peace Studies.
The NET/JRF candidates are required to appear in CRET Level-1 and Level-2 examinations.
Teacher candidate of the University of Allahabad and its Constituent Colleges, Army Officer and International candidates are exempted from CRET Level-1 Test. But they must appear in CRET Level-2 test.

The Online Registration and Form Submission will start from – 26 October 2023.
The last date of registration is – 15 November 2023.

Unreserved /OBC /EWS : Rs. 1800/-
SC / ST/ PwD : Rs. 900/-
