Jaipur, 21st November 2018: HILTI delegation visited Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) where Mr. Jayant Joshi, President Trustee RUJCT and Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, President, BSDU accompanied them during the visit. The delegation was showcased well-equipped labs, skill training modules, and international standards faculties.  This visit was aimed at scoping out apprenticeship tie-up where HILTI can offer internship opportunities to students of BSDU. As part of the tour, the delegation also interacted with students and faculties to better understand the procedure and depth of training provided at the B.Voc. level.

The delegation from HILTI comprised of Mr. Remo Klauser, Head of Vocational Training – HILTI Head Quarter Lichtenstein; Mr. Dietmar Binder, Technical Project Manager for HILTI Gujarat & Lichtenstein and Mr. Ketan Rathod, Deputy Manager Production – HILTI Gujarat. They also visited RS India – Swiss Precision and Assembly Unit of RUJ Group in Mahindra SEZ where Herbert Rosenast, General Manager, RS India briefed the delegation about the manufacturing processes of RS India.

Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, President, Bhartiya Skill Development University said, “HILTI is globally acknowledged name in fastening technology and solutions, power tools provider around the world.  We are honoured to host our guests from HILTI and look forward to developing deeper partnerships and creating the best skill ecosystem where students trained from BSDU can contribute towards accelerated business growth and economic development of the nation.  We would like to give exposure of global standards of manufacturing to our students and joining hands with HILTI will be one of the milestones to achieve.”

BSDU is a unique skill development university in India with a vision to create global excellence in skill development sector by creating opportunities, space and scope for the development of talents of Indian youth and by making them globally fit to play an important role in the best manufactories.

Delegation from HILTI said, “HILTI aims to provide quality solutions to its clients through its high-end production quality and continuous R&D. It is very important to note that concepts like industry 4.0, 3D printing and modelling, Robotics as well as sustainability, all are well taken care of here in the training modules at BSDU. We feel that highest quality of products can be produced only by nurturing talents in workforce and it is quite impressive to see students from BSDU are so passionate about their work. Training of students and apprentice at BSDU begins from the basic operations of machine where students’ responsibility is to take care of their whole job operation themselves.”

HILTI has base in over 120 countries with approximately 29,000 employees providing 360 degrees service to construction industry from software for design, products and tools for work onsite to training, repairs, testing and consultancy.
