Thrissur, Kerala: The South Indian Bank Ltd., a leading private Bank in India and Headquartered in Thrissur, had invited applications filling up a total number 201 of Probationary Officers – Scale I and a total of 336 number of Probationary Clerks posts. Eligible Candidates will have to apply online through the Bank’s website www.southindianbank.com.
The submission of online application will start from 19 January 2017. The submission of online application will close on 27 January 2017. The online test will be held in February 2017. The bank informed that online examination for Probationary Officers and Probationary Clerks will be held on different dates. Candidates can apply to both the posts according to their eligibility status.
Eligibility for Bank POs:
Minimum Educational Qualification as on 31.12.2016: The candidates should pass X/ SSLC with 60 % and above and XII/ HSC : 60 % and above. At graduation, candidates should pass under 10+2+3/4 regular course with 60% and above.
Age: As per the recruitment notification, the candidates should not be more than 25 years as on 31.12.2016. Candidate should be born on or after 01.01.1992 and on or before 31.12.1996.
Upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. 3 years of age relaxation for candidates having minimum 2 years of experience as Clerk/ Officer in Scheduled Commercial Banks (Public Sector/ Private Sector).
Probation Period: The period of probation is two years. Confirmation will be subject to satisfactory performance during probation.
Selection procedure for Bank Pos: The entire process will consist of three phases: Online Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final selection shall be made on the basis of Personal Interview.
Online examination for Probationary Officers and Probationary Clerks will be held on different dates. Candidates can apply to both the posts according to their eligibility.

Other Requirements for Probationary Clerks: Candidates having permanent address in the respective state or those who have been residing in the same state continuously at least for a period of last 5 years and are proficient in local language apart from English only are eligible to apply.
