Bangalore, 17th September 2019: The Economic Times honored three IIM Bangalore alumni with awards under the coveted ’40 Under Forty’ listing consisting of top business leaders, entrepreneurs and owner-professionals of India under the age of forty.
Nithya Balasubramanian, Vice President, Cipla, Rohit MA, Co-founder and Managing Director, Cloudnine Group of Hospitals, and Shyam Unnikrishnan, Partner, Bain & Company, are all graduates of IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Program in Management 2008, Managament Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses 2010, and Post Graduate Program in Management 2009, respectively. They were felicitated along with other recipients at a glamorous awards ceremony held in Mumbai.

Shyam Unnikrishnan is a leader in Bain India’s Consumer Products, Retail, Strategy and Customer Strategy & Marketing practices and has worked in Bain’s Atlanta, Sydney, and India offices, advising clients across multiple geographies including India, Americas, Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Passionate about mentorship and developing the next generation of leaders, Shyam was awarded Bain’s prestigious award in 2018 for exceptional contribution to professional development. He was the first recipient of this global award from Bain India.
Apart from being Co-founder and Managing Director of Cloudnine Hospitals, Rohit MA has served on the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Panel of Healthcare for Karnataka. Currently, he is a member of the Bangalore Chamber of Industries and Commerce. Rohit has been recognized and honored with various awards like Young Entrepreneur Award by Business World, Dynamic Entrepreneur of the Year (Business Transformation) by Entrepreneur India, Leaders of Tomorrow by ET Now, 11 start-ups to watch for by Forbes India, and many more.
