London, 28th September 2020: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has crowned as the Best Business School in Asia while it secured Rank 20 globally in the Financial Times Masters in Management Rankings 2020 for its flagship Two-Year Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has achieved Rank 21 globally in the Financial Times Masters in Management Rankings 2020 for its flagship Two-Year Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programme. The Institute has been ranked 2nd in India and 2nd in Asia among the five Indian B-Schools listed in the Rankings.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and SPJIMR stood jointly at 36 Rank globally. IIM Bangalore has improved its ranking from 44 last year to 36 in 2020. IIM Udaipur grabbed 72 rank in the Global Ranking Table.

Only five Indian B-Schools feature in this year’s FT MIM ranking. SPJIMR is the only private Indian school to feature in the list of the top programmes in the world. The other four Indian Institutes are IIM Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore and Udaipur.

Commenting on the 2020 Rankings, Professor Anju Seth, Director, IIM Calcutta said, “The FT Rankings demonstrate again that the IIM Calcutta MBA program is a powerful launching pad for our graduates to contribute to business and society in leadership positions.   We congratulate our alumni for their remarkable accomplishments! The FT MIM features full-time masters programmes offered by schools that are accredited by AACSB or EQUIS. The FT MIM list for 2020 released on Monday (Sep. 28) is the 16th edition of the ranking by the Financial Times, which describes itself as “one of the world’s leading news organisations, recognized internationally for its authority, integrity and accuracy”. The London, UK-based FT is a part of Nikkei Inc. of Japan, which provides a broad range of information, news and services for the global business community.
