Udaipur: IIM Udaipur’s Incubation Centerkickstarted Launch-n-Zoom 2.0, a 12 weeks accelerator cohort program with 27 startups on-board at Udaipur. Designed to scale up various startups profitably, the program is strategised to concentrate on the continuum of Product-to-Market.

The 27 startups hail from domains such as SpaceTech, IoT and Payments, AI andMachine learning, Construction, Agri-Tech, Blockchain/Supply Chain, Waste Management, Healthcare, Networking, Logistics, Hospitality andFMCG.

This year Launch-n-Zoom 2.0, focusses on creating a positive impact on the way startups roll out their products or services and build ventures. Through 12 weeks of learning, mentoring and networking, startups will undergo a lot of DIY exercises to develop and refine theproduct/service platforms through interaction and guidance from industry leaders.

Prof. Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur said“The second cohort will look at sustainable ventures that have created tech innovations to provide real solutions to the problems of today. Our Incubation Centeris driven towards building a strong and effective network with other leaders and entrepreneurs in the industry to enable meaningful partnerships with startups.”

Leading experts from different domains with industry experience will help the startups undertake the 12 weeks journey.

IIM Udaipur’s Incubation Centerhas focused on providing some additional benefits to the new cohort which include access to and knowledge of equipment and software for MVP development and prototyping; discovery of customers; prototype refinement; assistance in development of new edition of products and market testing of products; co-working spaces with 24×7 internet connectivity; and tailor-made topics and knowledge resources.

The elaborate program was open for startups from all domains. Before this, IIM Udaipur’s Incubation Centerhosted its first successful cohort in 2018, where 18 startups were selected out of 275 applicants following a thorough process of selection.

Last year, the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) – Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, announced IIM Udaipur as a robust Accelerator Program Center in Rajasthan for the year 2019-2020. Across India, only nine incubation centers are listed, out of which IIMU’s Accelerator Program Centerwas one.
