Guwahati: The Assam down town University, Guwahati (AdtU) has instituted the AdtU Award of Excellence in School Teaching for the year 2022 to recognize and felicitate the efforts made by the teaching community belonging to the High School Teachers category of Assam. The Award consists of a citation and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, which shall be awarded on the 16th of September 2022.
AdtU is inviting applications from the working High School Teachers of Assam having not less than 10 (ten) years of teaching experience, with records of creating or shaping new teaching techniques. The last date of submission is notified as the 9th of September 2022.
Eligible candidates are required to submit some documents along with their application, viz., complete bio- data showing details of academic records from HSLC onwards; pass percentage of the school in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (any Board) for the last five years (including 1st, 2nd & 3rd division percentage wise); number of students getting a distinction in the subject/ subjects taught by the applicant- teacher in the H S L C examinations during the last five years; name, address and contact details of the Headmaster/Headmistress where the candidate is working currently; names of a few past students of the school who have displayed exemplary performance in their respective professions with phone number and email address of the students; any award received earlier by the applicant from any government organisations or Trusts; proof of membership (present or past) of any State / National level Education Planning Committees / Boards; photocopy of Teaching Dossier or Portfolio/ lesson plan etc, if any; Records of creating or shaping New Teaching Technique with better skill and results including the participation of any form; vision plan of the applicant as a school teacher; Records of community involvement, and any other information that the candidate would like to share.
