New Delhi, 15 May, 2018: The first pure skill university which has introduced ‘Swiss Dual’ system of education in India, Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU) Jaipur, received on 11 May 2018 at India international Center, New Delhi, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Acclamation for Internationalisation of India’s Education 2018 for best Vocational Education University in India.

At a time when India is marching ahead to redeem the rightful place in the comity of nations, Internationalisation of its Educational Institutions would be a key ingredient of growth towards building a New India.  Bhartiya Skill Development University which is formed basing the concept of introducing Swiss Dual System of Education which preaches Switzerland’s education system where students are made job ready while they are completing their education.  It emphasizes equally on theoretical part as well as on practical training embedded in real-life industry environment where students on a six-month semester basis complete their vocational degrees alternatively in university and industry.

Receiving this prestigious award, Brig. (Dr.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor of Bhartiya Skill Development University said, “We are honoured to be recognized as Best University in Vocational Education as we have always believed in bringing excellence to skill development Industry in India and we work on unique concept of dual system of skills education (Swiss Dual System) where major focus remains on practical industrial training along with theory. We want to make students ‘skilled’ enough to be fit for their respective jobs in various industries or start their own businesses.”

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was one of those formidable forces of those times who envisioned the Internationalization of India’s Freedom Struggle and ended up playing a key role in the attainment of Independence by his uncanny vision & indomitable action.  As a part of the Re-Discovering Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Initiative, ReTHINK INDIA envisages to explore & felicitate institutions which have underwent a similar such ordeal to Internationalize their education for inducing quality & rigor of global standards.

Mr. Mizuho Hayakawa, Director, Japan Information Center, Embassy of Japan and Prof. Ashok Kumar Chawla, Advisor (Japan) East Asia Division, Ministry of External Affairs presented the award to Dr. (Brig) SS Pabla, president BSDU.

ReTHINK INDIA was the organizer of the event which took place at CD Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.  Some other organizations who got awarded for their work was Arya Group of Colleges, Jaipur; Saint Marks School, New Delhi etc.
