India’s premier educational institution Bhartiyam International School successfully conducted its flagship NIPUN Carnival 2020 with at least 1,200 students from almost 150 schools participating in as many as 42 contests held during the three-day-long extravaganza. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, the contests were held online (live) and in recorded mode on November 19, 20, and 21.

According to an official statement by the Uttarakhand-based school, “The pursuit of perfection must never end and thus, this contest assumes great significance, especially in times of a pandemic which has derailed the academic year of schools. It’s rightly said — ‘Competition makes us faster, Collaboration makes us better’ — and to live up to the phrase, NIPUN Carnival 2020 offered a virtual stage to the students to express and demonstrate their artistries and skills.”

An array of contests, ranging from Science to Arts, was designed for students of different age groups in the fest. The major contests held for the senior section students involved making elaborate powerpoint presentations on a plethora of issues. For middle-section students, the contests involved making videos showcasing their exceptional talents like singing, comedy, poetry, yoga, cooking, painting, calligraphy, and many more. And as for the junior section students, contests like Kavyanjali, Origami, Poetic Magic, Claymation, Tell a Tale, Dress and Tell, among others, were held.

The fiesta witnessed the participations of students from several esteemed schools like Seth M.R. Jaipuria School of Lucknow, DPS Ranchi, J.M. International School of Delhi, Swami Sahajanand Bridge Ford School of Ranchi, J.D. Goenka School of Agra, Lotus Petal Foundation School of Gurugram, Green Way School of Roorkee, Hermann Gmeiner School of Bhimtal, Darbari Lal Foundation School of Noida, Ekya School of Bengaluru, among others.

Commenting on the carnival, Mr Bharat Goel, Director of Bhartiyam International School, said, “The vision behind NIPUN is to provide a platform to all the multi-skilled scholars, from junior sections to the senior most classes, to showcase their talent and keep their creativity intact as such competitions allow them to attain transferable skills and competencies and are greatly helpful in keeping them engaged in productive activities.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, Ms Shikha Guatam, Principal of Bhartiyam International School, said, “The whole event was a feast to behold. The participants were extremely enthusiastic and passionate during the event and wanted to give a tough competition to their opponents. I am glad that we succeeded in our goal of pushing students towards excellence. All the participants, be it winners or runner-ups, performed exceptionally well. This is also a testament to their resilience in these turbulent times,”

It is worth mentioning here that NIPUN is an annual fest organized by Bhartiyam International School. The premier school offers all necessary facilities and infrastructure to ensure a wholesome growth for its students. Also, the school’s serene landscape provides the most conducive environment for learning. The school aims at providing quality education integrated with moral values which would give students confidence to stand tall in the world.
