VARANASI : Banaras Hindu University has started a dedicated campus bus service for girl students that will run till late evening hours. The bus will operate from 7 pm to 10 pm between Mahila Mahavidyalaya to Sri Vishwanath Temple covering girls’ hostels. The free bus service for girls is a move in order to ensure a smooth and hassle free campus life for them. The bus will start from Mahila Mahavidyalaya at 7 pm, 8 pm and 9 pm and arrive at Sri Vishwanatha Temple via Triveni Complex, Working Hostel, Pawgi Hostel, New Ph.D. Girls’ Hostel, Dr. J C Bose and Kundan Devi Hostel, New Girls’ Hostel and Bhartendu Harishchandra Hostel. On its way back, the bus will start from Sri Vishwanatha Temple at 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm and 9.30 pm and reach Mahila Mahavidyalaya via girls’ hostels. Chief Proctor Prof. Abhimanyu Singh said that girl students for some time have been requesting such a service as it would facilitate them in returning to hostels after using library in evening hours.
