World Pharmacist Day is an annual event dedicated to recognizing and appreciating the significant role that pharmacists play in healthcare and the well-being of individuals and communities worldwide. The day was established by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in 2009 to highlight the contributions of pharmacists to healthcare and to raise awareness about the importance of the pharmacy profession. Each year, World Pharmacist Day has a specific theme to focus on particular aspects of the pharmacy profession and its impact on global health.

Pharmacists are vital members of the healthcare team, and they play various roles, including dispensing medications, counselling patients on proper medication use, monitoring drug therapies, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient care. They also contribute to research, education, and advocacy efforts related to healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry.
