Kolkata : The IIMC Alumni Association – West Bengal Chapter today awarded the IFFCO IIMCAA Award 2021 for ‘Public Service’ to Dr Saumitra Mohan, Secretary – Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of West Bengal at Connections 2021 – Kolkata Meet.

Dr Mohan was managing and concerned with anything and everything related to COVID management in West Bengal including hospital, quarantine, isolation and migrants’ healthcare. He was brought from school education to the health department to tackle the pandemic and oversee health infrastructure amid rising cases of COVID-19 in early 2020.

This year, the Alumni Association also felicitated Golden Jubilee (1970-71) and Silver Jubilee (1995-96) batches. Three members from the 1995-96 batch were felicitated at the annual alumni meet held at Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata. Mr Prem Prakash (Director, IOFS), Ms Madhu Paswan and Mr Pramod Kumar (I-T Officer) were present at the event to celebrate the Silver Jubilee.

IIMCAA – West Bengal President Subhro Niyogi chaired the event that was attended by Vice-President Rjash Kumar; Patrons – Subir Bhaumik, Subir Ghosh, Asis Chakraborty and Snehashis Sur; Organising Secretary Gourav along with IIMCAA Central Committee Treasurer Animesh Biswas and Executive Member Neeraj Jha.
