Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi has strengthened its international ties by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nam Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The MoU was formalized by Prof. Bhawna Pandey, Principal of Dyal Singh Evening College, and Dr. Tran Thi Thu, Vice Rector of Nam Can Tho University, during the Namaste Vietnam Festival.

This festival, is dedicated to enhancing India-Vietnam relations through educational and cultural exchanges. The event featured 28 universities from India and 17 from Vietnam, all committed to fostering cooperation and friendship between the two nations.

The MoU with Nam Can Tho University is a significant achievement for Dyal Singh Evening College, as it is the sole college from the University of Delhi to sign such an agreement at the festival. This collaboration aims to attract more Vietnamese students to the University of Delhi, offering them opportunities for higher education in India.

Speaking about the MoU, Prof. Bhawna Pandey, Principal of Dyal Singh Evening College, said “We are thrilled to embark on this academic journey with Nam Can Tho University, Vietnam. This MoU represents a significant step towards fostering global partnerships and creating opportunities for our students and faculty to engage in cross-cultural exchange and collaborative research. We look forward to exploring new horizons in education and research together, and to contributing to the growing ties between India and Vietnam.”

Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, highlighted the importance of such partnerships, noting that 2 lakh Vietnamese students study abroad each year.

This partnership underscores Dyal Singh Evening College’s commitment to providing students with a diverse and enriching educational experience, fostering academic exchange, cultural immersion, and mutual growth.
