New Delhi : EdTech LaunchED Global has launched a Free Industry Guide Program to help college students gain practical, industry-specific insights that bridge academic learning and real-world job expectations.
Since its launch in May this year, the program has experienced growing engagement, with more than 300 students across various academic fields enrolling and over 12 companies utilizing the guides to streamline their recruitment processes.
With 90% of students unaware of the roles and expectations in today’s job market, LaunchED Global’s program addresses a critical issue. While colleges provide a solid academic foundation, many graduates lack an understanding of job profiles and career paths, particularly in technology, media, consulting, and startups. This lack of awareness negatively impacts their employability and early-career success.
“Our goal is straightforward. We aim to prepare students for the job market by increasing their industry awareness and assisting employers, especially startups, in onboarding talent with minimal guidance. We believe this dual-benefit model represents the future of sustainable hiring,” said Kajal Dave, Co-Founder, LaunchED.
The Industry Guide Program, curated by a panel of over 40 industry founders and experts, offers a comprehensive look into real-world job functions, market trends, and hiring expectations. It helps students gain clarity on different roles relevant to their interests and academic backgrounds, while also providing practical advice on building in-demand skills while still in college.
The initiative holds importance as graduates face challenges such as mismatched expectations, unclear job roles, and limited guidance on career direction. In turn, startups and small businesses often lack the resources and budget to train inexperienced hires, which can hinder productivity and increase operational costs.
Though there are currently no formal academic partnerships, the full-scale rollout aims to introduce the program to colleges across India within the next year.
“Programs like these are essential. They bridge the essential gap between academic knowledge and job readiness, ultimately enhancing employability and the quality of the workforce.” – Ritesh Jain, Co-Founder, LaunchED.
LaunchED Global plans to continuously evolve the program to meet the dynamic needs of modern businesses. Future modules will include insights into new-age sectors such as AI, clean technology, and digital commerce, ensuring that students remain relevant and well-informed.
