India : Education in Ireland, the national brand representing Irish Higher Education Institutions globally, has successfully concluded its flagship roadshow for the academic year 2024 in India. Held across one week from September 30 to October 8, this comprehensive roadshow featured the participation of 18 prestigious Irish Higher Education Institutions, engaging with Indian students across five major cities: Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.

With a record-breaking participation of over 2500 attendees, the Education in Ireland Fairs provided students and parents with a valuable opportunity to interact directly with representatives from renowned Irish Higher Education Institutions. The fairs also featured an informative presentation by the Irish Visa Office, offering insights into the visa application process for students, as well as the presence of visa officers to take in any questions.

Mr. Barry O’Driscoll, Regional Manager – India & South Asia at Education in Ireland, shared his thoughts on the roadshow’s impact, stating, “It was great to see such an enthusiastic response at our Education in Ireland Fairs in India. The level of interest and engagement from the students and their families was fantastic. The Roadshow was a window into Ireland’s status as a global hub for technology and commerce, with over 1,000 multinational companies and startups headquartered in Ireland.”

Mr. O’Driscoll further added, “Currently, over 7000 Indian students are studying in Ireland and choose Ireland as their preferred destination for higher education. Showcasing the promise of world-class education, a welcoming atmosphere, and the highly globalised environment of this English-speaking island-nation, the fairs also shed light on the boundless career opportunities that await prospective students in the vibrant heart of Ireland. We look forward to welcoming students from India.”

Ireland has gained recognition for its educational excellence and buoyant job market in varied sectors like IT, Business, Finance, Big Data, Medical Technology, Engineering, and Digital Marketing. Moreover, its successful visa clearance rates and the one to two-year stay back visa has helped it become the most sought-after study abroad destination in the recent years.

The fairs were a pivotal component of Education in Ireland’s #themakingofyou campaign, which goes beyond offering world-class education in Ireland. It emphasizes the transformative power of education in Ireland, shaping students’ personal and professional lives and contributing significantly to their growth and development.

With the conclusion of the fairs, Education in Ireland looks forward to welcoming the ever-growing number of Indian students and nurturing their aspirations.
