Jaipur: The Institution of Engineers (India)a multi-disciplinary professional body of engineers with a view to promote the pursuit of excellence in the field of engineering IEI Rajasthan State Center, Jaipur has instituted “Eminent Engineers Award 2020” on occasion of Engineers Day Sep 15, 2020.

The ceremony would be taking place in the presence of Hon. Governor of Rajasthan Sh. Kalraj Mishra.

The Award consists of a Plaque, Citation and a Certificate. The purpose of the Award is to recognize outstanding achievements/contributions made by engineers in engineering research, excellence in engineering technology development, technology transfer, society etc

10 individuals, 3 industries, 2 startups, one university and one institute (Total: 17) will be awarded during this programme.

These awards have been finalized after getting nominations from all over the country and one committee has decided these names under the chairmanship of Dr. Ravi Kumar Goyal, FIE.

Er. Sajjan Singh Yadav, Chairman, Rajasthan State Center, Jaipur, says, “During this distressed situation where we are living in the most-life altering event of the century this award distribution ceremony on the special day of Engineers Day, 15th September is being conducted by following all the safety measures as this award recognizes the distinguished and exemplary services in the field of Engineering and Technology by the people who have brought prestige to the nation by being in a position to change the nation.

Every year India celebrates Engineer’s Day on September 15, the birth anniversary of Sir M. Visvesvaraya. Due to his outstanding contribution to the building of India, the government conferred ‘Bharat Ratna‘ on him in 1955. He was also awarded the British knighthood by King George V, which put the honorific ‘Sir’ before his name.

Dr. Ravi Kumar Goyal, FIE and Chairman of Award Committee, says, “when The light of the covid 19 outbreak which has brought the nation to a deadlock we are honored to get an opportunity to organize the event for the recognition of the spectacular efforts of the ever shining engineers. This prestigious award, recognizing outstanding achievements from a profession in which the knowledge of the mathematical and natural sciences, gained by study, experience and practice is applied thereby making significant contributions in traditional or non-traditional profession.
