Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi applauds innovative teaching model of UMS Dumarthar

2nd February 2021: Honorable PM Shri Narendra Modi appreciated the efforts of teachers in one of Bharti Foundation’s partner government schools under Satya Bharti Quality Support Program in UMS

Dumarthar in Dumka district of Jharkhand during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on 31st January 2021, for the innovative teaching model during the pandemic.

The Head teacher along with the community members decided to paint the walls of their village with vowels and consonants both in English and Hindi, even converted some walls into blackboards for students to keep their education going during the unprecedented times.

The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program was initiated in 2013. The objective of this program is to support government schools to become happy, holistic institutions of learning. Foundation is working with more than 802 schools in collaboration with 14 state governments and union territories.
