Hyderabad : HPS-Ramanthapur plans for a grand closing ceremony for its year-long Golden Jubilee Celebrations at its campus on 17th December Saturday.

The Special Chief Secretary, MA & UD, Govt of Telangana, Sri Arvind Kumar (IAS) Director General (NIUM) will be the Chief Guest.  Mr Adivi Sesh, an actor, director and screenwriter will be the Guest of Honour for the closing ceremony.

A musical extravaganza, ‘The Humanoid’ , a magnificent tale of time travel by the students will be staged.

The Principal Dr.S.Narasimha Reddy, in a communication released to the media on Thursday said that “the musical extravaganza is a mix of theatre, history, music and dance. An educative and entertaining show where more than 700 students are participating, striking a balance between academics, co-curricular and extracurricular. Thus making education wholesome.”

He added “it is said that the seeds of transformation are sown at an early age, as a society we must remain cognizant of the fact that the value we impart to our children today would bring about the transformation we hope for in the future. Thus it is imperative  to impart the right values.  . We see it clearly in this journey of time travel.”

To mark the occasion, the school is also bringing out a Coffee Table book, a reminiscence of the journey of 50 illustrious years..

Turnout of about more than 8000 people are expected for the Golden Jubilee Closing Ceremony.

The then Vice President of India Shri Venkaiah Naidu, flagged off the Golden Jubilee Celebrations on 30th July this year.  Since then, the 50 years of the glorious journey was celebrated with a series of programs of interest to the stakeholders  to remember for years.

The school has organised several programs to mark the Golden Jubilee Celebrations.  Some of them include  a Navarasa Nrityotsav, a National Inter School Dance competition. It hosted the all-India IPSC U/17 Cricket Tournament. The Inter school Science exhibition was held to nurture the innovative skills of the students.

Founded in 1972 under the aegis of The HPS Society, HPS-Ramanthapur is a prestigious institution spread over 37.5 acres carved out of the Osmania University campus. Over the last 5 decades with its unique culture and education, the school takes pride in the lineage of illustrious luminaries who have reached great heights in their chosen path and have made a mark in the global map.
