Jaipur: IIHMR University, successfully conducted a Management Development Programme (MDP) on Hospital Planning and Design. The programme witnessed the participation of professionals from Manipur, reflecting the growing interest from North-Eastern states in advancing healthcare management practices.

The week-long program was designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals in developing and managing efficient hospital infrastructures. The MDP focused on essential aspects of hospital planning, operations, and design strategies that ensure functionality, patient safety, and sustainability.

Dr. PR Sodani, President, IIHMR University, shared, “With India’s healthcare sector undergoing rapid expansion, hospital planning and design have become critical to ensuring operational efficiency. As the demand for modern, technology-enabled, and patient-friendly healthcare facilities grows, it is essential to build managerial and technical expertise to guide this transformation. Through such MDPs, we are building healthcare infrastructures that can serve communities effectively across the country.”

The programme was led by Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, along with Dr. G.S. Ranawat, Former Director (RCH), Government of Rajasthan, Hospital Planning Expert.

Distinguished faculty members including Dr. (Col) Mahender Kumar, Professor & Proctor, Hospital Management; Dr. Sandesh Kumar Sharma, Associate Professor & Programme Coordinator; Dr. Susmit Jain, Associate Professor, Operations Management; Dr. Sumesh Kumar, Associate Professor, Financial Management (IIHMR Delhi); Dr. Altaf Yousuf Mir, Associate Professor, Hospital Planning (IIHMR Delhi), also participated in the event.
