IIM Ranchi successfully concluded a five-day residential ‘Summer Programme in Management’ for students of ATLAS SkillTech University. More than 40 undergraduate students participated in the programme, which was designed to provide foundational exposure to key areas of management education and leadership development. Conducted from May 18 to May 22, 2026, the programme introduced students to important domains of management, including Business Strategy, Data-Driven Decision Making, Financial Analysis, Leadership, Marketing, and Organisational Change. The objective of the programme was to help students understand modern business environments and develop leadership qualities required in today’s competitive world.
The valedictory session was held in the presence of Director, IIM Ranchi, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, along with Programme Directors Prof. Manish Bansal (Chairperson, Executive Education and Consulting), and Prof. Jyoti Verma. Addressing the students, Prof. Srivastava highlighted the difference between basic science and management education. He explained that while science is based on fundamental realities, management education deals with multiple realities shaped by diverse experiences and perspectives. He said such learning helps students develop leadership abilities and broader thinking. He also encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship and contribute towards generating employment opportunities in the country.
During the session, Prof. Bansal advised students to continuously upgrade their skills according to changing industry demands. He emphasized that students should make full use of the opportunities and resources being invested in their learning journey. Prof. Verma motivated the participants to believe in themselves and work confidently towards achieving their goals.
Throughout the programme, students attended sessions on topics such as Business Environment & Organisational Strategy, Strategic Planning & Data-Driven Decisions, Financial Management, Performance Measurement & Business Control, Consumer Strategy, Investment Decisions, Organisational Design & Change, People Management, Innovation, HR Strategy, and Talent Development.
