Mumbai, 31 March 2021:  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has introduced MBA programme for its undergraduate students from all engineering streams. Upon completion of the MBA programme, students will be awarded two degrees – UG engineering degree (B.Tech) and a Master’s degree in Management (MBA).

IIT Bombay has created a completely new opportunity for our undergraduate students. At the end of 3rd year, a BTech student may opt for an additional MBA degree from our Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SoM) under the IDDDP (Inter Department Dual Degree Program )scheme of Dual degree program, subject to satisfying the admission process in SoM.

Hence,  the eligible BTech students can save one year and get the same MBA degree from IIT Bombay.

Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director of IIT Bombay, in a Facebook Post  informed “We hope to be able to implement it from the next academic year. More details will be sent to students in due course of time.”
