Gandhinagar : The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has been awarded the Third Prize in the “Office Category” by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Gandhinagar, for its commendable efforts in promoting and effectively implementing the use of Hindi in official work.
The award was presented at the 26th Half-Yearly Meeting and Annual Award Ceremony of TOLIC Gandhinagar, held on April 28, 2026.
The honour was received by Mr Vipul Kumar Chaudhary, Deputy Registrar and In-Charge Hindi Officer, IITGN, on behalf of the Institute.
In addition, officers and staff of the institute actively participated in various competitions organised by TOLIC Gandhinagar. Mr Parth Rajendrakumar Mehta, an employee of the institute, received a consolation prize for his performance. On this occasion, Mr Harish Singh Chauhan, Deputy Director (Implementation), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, and Mr Sunil Sinha, Chairman of TOLIC Gandhinagar, were present.
The In-Charge Hindi Officer appreciated the collective efforts of all officers and staff, stating that the achievement is the result of consistent teamwork. He further expressed confidence that the institute will continue to strengthen the use of Hindi in official work and achieve higher standards in the future.
