Kharagpur:  On the occasion of the 70th Foundation Day, IIT Kharagpur has organized the e-launch of the Academy of Classical and Folk Arts. The first of its kind academic and R&D facility in the history of technical institutes in India is set up with support from the esteemed alumni of IIT Kharagpur.

This year on 18 August 2020, IIT Kharagpur celebrates its heritage while simultaneously sowing the seeds of a new legacy in the Indian education system, in the spirit of the New Education Policy #NEP2020 announced recently by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India).

The launch event will feature the Foundation Day Lecture Demonstration by Padma Bhushan Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Distinguished Professor, IIT Kharagpur.
