New Delhi  – Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi) is preparing to host its 13th Convocation Ceremony on October 26, 2024. During the ceremony, 745 students will receive their degrees after successfully completing their academic programs at the institute. The event marks an important milestone for both the students and the institute, as it continues to contribute skilled professionals to various fields.

The graduates represent a wide range of disciplines, including Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics, Computer Science and Design, Computer Science and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Biosciences, and Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degrees will also be conferred in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Computational Biology. Additionally, Ph.D. degrees will be awarded in several key research areas, such as Computational Biology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Human-Centered Design, Mathematics, and Social Sciences and Humanities.

Dr. S. Somanath, Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will be the Chief Guest for the event and will deliver the convocation address. His presence, along with his speech, is expected to inspire the graduating students as they embark on their professional journeys. The ceremony will also be attended by Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Delhi and Chancellor of IIIT-Delhi, Prof. Ranjan Bose, Director of IIIT-Delhi, and Prof. Rajesh Srivastava, Chairman of the Board of Governors. Faculty members, staff, and families of the students will also be present to celebrate the occasion.

In addition to the distribution of degrees, the institute will recognize the exceptional achievements of its students through various awards. These include the Chancellor’s Gold Medal, Institute Silver Medals, All-Round Performance Medals, Best BTP (Bachelor’s Thesis Project) Awards, the Gold Medal for Excellence in M.Tech., Best M.Tech. Thesis Award, and Ph.D. Dissertation Awards. These honors reflect the hard work and dedication of the students during their time at the institute.

IIIT-Delhi takes pride in the accomplishments of its students and looks forward to celebrating their success at the convocation. The institute continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence and innovation in the fields of technology and research.
