The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi proudly announces the commencement of its third batch into the highly acclaimed Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). Guided by a commitment to fostering holistic development and nurturing exceptional management talent, IIM Ranchi kicks off the induction program, setting the stage for a transformative academic journey for incoming students.

With a legacy of excellence and a forward-looking approach to education, IIM Ranchi has consistently carved a niche for itself in the realm of management education. The induction program for the third batch of the Integrated Programme in Management marks a significant milestone in the institute’s relentless pursuit of academic innovation and holistic growth.

The event began with Saraswati Vandana and the lighting of lamps by the director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Prof. Pradip Kumar Bala, Dean – Academics Affairs & Development, Prof. Deepak Kumar, Chairperson IPM, and the chief guest Maj. General Vikas Choudhary, GOC Dipatoli Army Cantt. Ranchi.

The induction continued with speeches given by the panel. Prof. Deepak Kumar welcomed the students onto the challenging path that lay ahead. He encouraged the students to think critically and explore new roles and paths in a unique journey that will shape their academic and personal growth. He further urged the students to challenge conventional wisdom, push the boundaries of what is possible, and be ambassadors of excellence wherever they go.

Next, Prof. Pradip Kumar Bala spoke of the academic rigour maintained at IIM Ranchi, which constantly challenges and grooms. However, he compelled the inductees, at the same time, to be cognizant of the thoughts, feelings and struggles of their parents. One must not wait to grow older to understand them. In the uncertainty of our short lives, there is no time to worry. One must always truly love all.

The Director of IIM Ranchi, Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, expressed his gratitude to the

Chief Justice and other dignitaries for gracing the occasion and highlighting the reasons

behind implementing the Young Changemakers Programme. He emphasised the institute’s

commitment to being socially responsive and its focus on connecting with the challenges

faced by tribal communities. Prof. Srivastava highlighted the integration of elective courses

in tribal languages and cultivating social intelligence alongside academic knowledge.

The Chief Guest for the event, Maj. General Vikas Choudhary, spoke about the importance of institutes like IIM Ranchi in enabling students to understand their higher purpose. He motivated the inductees to introspect and build upon the essential character qualities, namely moral courage and honour.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the felicitation of the Chief Guest, Maj. General Vikas Choudhary by the honourable director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava followed by the national anthem.
