Jammu: The International HR Pre-Conference, commenced on 12th Oct 2023, at the state-of-the-art permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, marking a significant step forward in equipping researchers and practitioners in the field of human resources with advanced tools and techniques. The Pre-Conference will be a two-day session and end on 13th Oct 2023. The event included a pre-conference workshop designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of participants in HR analytics and various research methods and tools like SPSS, R, SEM, PLS-SEM, and the psychometric test construction process. Present on the occasion were Dr. Guanpuanang Kahmei, Conference Chair and Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Co-Chairperson, International HR Conference, IIM Jammu. The administrative support and coordination were handled by Dr. Nadeem Younus Zargar, Administrative Officer, EE &C, IIM Jammu.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu reiterated that, the International HR Pre-Conference reaffirmed its importance in promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and skill development within the HR community. The first session by Dr. Ashish Kumar, Chairperson of Student Affairs, IIM Jammu, delved into the fascinating world of “Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization.” Dr. Kumar’s session provided attendees with valuable insights into the techniques and tools used in bibliometric analysis, allowing participants to explore patterns and trends in published research.
The second session, led by Dr. Rambalak Yadav, Chairperson, Research, IIM Jammu, focused on the intricacies of “How to Publish Articles in Quality Journals.” Dr. Yadav shared valuable tips and strategies for researchers looking to navigate the often-complex process of getting their work published in reputable academic journals.
Dr. Jaganth.G, Assistant Professor at IIM Jammu, presented the third session, which covered the topic of “Network Analysis.” His insights into network analysis techniques and applications offered a fresh perspective on the value of connections and relationships in the field of HR.
During the workshop, all the expert in their fields guided participants through the intricacies of HR analytics and provided comprehensive training in various advanced tools and techniques. The International HR Pre-Conference provided participants with valuable insights and skills, setting the stage for a dynamic and informative “HR in Dynamic Business Environment” for the upcoming International Conference and Conclave scheduled from 14-15th Oct 2023.
