JAMMU, India – The International HR Pre-Conference, hosted at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, made significant strides in advancing the knowledge and skills of HR professionals, researchers, and practitioners during its two-day session. The Pre-Conference, which commenced on October 12th, 2023, and concluded on October 13th, 2023, provided participants with valuable insights into HR analytics, research methods, and various tools to enhance their proficiency.The event featured a pre-conference workshop designed to empower participants with the latest tools and techniques in the field of human resources. Topics covered during the Pre-Conference included SPSS, R, SEM (Structural Equation Modeling), PLS-SEM, and the psychometric test construction process.
Dr. Guanpuanang Kahmei, the Conference Chair, and Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Co-Chairperson of the International HR Conference at IIM Jammu, graced the occasion with their presence. The administrative support and coordination for the event were efficiently managed by Dr. Nadeem Younus Zargar, the Administrative Officer at the Institute for Engineering Education & Certification, IIM Jammu.
A highlight of the second day of the Pre-Conference was an engaging session chaired by Dr. Amitabh Deo Kodwani, a distinguished Professor at IIM Indore, who conducted a session on “Case Study Writing and Workshop”. This session provided attendees with practical insights into the development, writing, and analysis of case studies, a vital skill for both academia and the business world.
Dr. Neeraj Kaushik, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Business Administration at NIT Kurukshetra, delivered two enlightening sessions. The first session was focused on “Structural Equation Modeling with R,” offering participants a comprehensive understanding of this statistical method, widely used for research and analysis. In the second session, Dr. Kaushik delved deeper into the topic, providing attendees with an advanced perspective on “Structural Equation Modeling with R,” equipping them with enhanced skills and insights in this field.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, IIM Jammu distributed certificates to a group of accomplished students.
