Panikhaiti, Guwahati : Assam downtown University’s Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organizes International Youth Leadership Conclave in the presence of eminent dignitaries from PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Guwahati Management Association. The participant registration process started at 9:30 am in the University premises. The program started with all the participants standing for the National Anthem and lighting of the lamp. Honorable guest Mr. Chiranjeet Chaliha, President, Guwahati Management Association delivered the Welcome Address and officially started off the first session of the program. The Theme Address was delivered by Prof. Sunandan Baruah, Chairperson, Institution’s Innovation Council, Assam downtown University. The first session of the program had three invited speakers delivering their enlightening insights on various crucial aspects of leadership and its significance for the growing youth community of the country. Mr. Parag Phukan, Vice President, GMA spoke on the topic “Free Yourself from Limiting Belief” where he emphasized upon the need for the young generation to break free from the negative thoughts that obstruct their path to success. The second speaker, Mr. Swapan Jyoti Sharma, Director, GMA delivered his talk on the topic “Managing Self. In his talk, he inspired the young minds to be optimistic and to work upon the development of the self-improving intellectual and emotional attributes. The third speaker, Ms. Sanjeevani Saikia from PHDCCI threw light on the significance of Ethical Leadership and Civic Mindedness. The second session started after the tea break at around 12:45 pm. The fourth invited speaker Mr. Sujoy Paul from Global Growth Consultancy Ltd., London delivered his talk on the topic “Public Speaking”. The fifth invited speaker of the session Dr. Prateeti Barman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences spoke on the importance of “Self- Care”. She emphasized upon the need for self-evaluation, self-appreciation and the need for taking time out of the hectic schedules to introspect and know about one’s own strengths and weaknesses. The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Bhaskar J. Gogoi, Co-Chair, PHDCCI NER. The program was brought to a close with the State Anthem sung by the invited guests, participants and the audience.
