New Delhi: The last minute preparation of the candidates for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2017 has gained momentum as JEE Main 2017 is scheduled on 2 April 2017 (Sunday) for pen-paper based exam and  8 and 9 April 2017 for computer-based exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination.

A large number of candidates have registered to appear the pan-India test. JEE Main 2017 will be conducted in 103 centres across India. Last year (JEE Main 2016), nearly 12 lakh candidates had appeared, while out of those 1,98,000 students were declared eligible for appearing the JEE advanced  examination 2016.

The CBSE is conducting JEE Main 2017 for the fifth times. The test is benchmark for admission to various undergraduate programmes offered by NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc. The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad.

Most of the candidates who have registered for the entrance test would also be appearing CBSE Board exams. For such candidates, they need to re-focus on the upcoming test.  Aspirants are now giving final touch to their preparations.  SkillOutlook wishes all the candidates All the Best!
