New Delhi/Hyderabad : Mahindra University will host the International Mediation Conclave (IMC) 2024 from August 8th to 11th, 2024, on its campus. This event is the first international conclave dedicated exclusively to mediation. The program includes workshops, a conference, a mediation competition, and an International Mediation Essay Competition.
The conclave organised in collaboration with Lex Erudites, India, and Grayspace Law and Policy Consulting, Belgium will be overseen by Dr. Balakista Reddy, Dean School of Law of Mahindra University. The event will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and online participation gathering a diverse group of professionals, judges, academicians, and students from around the world. The workshop scheduled on 8th August 2024 aims to equip participants with essential mediation skills through interactive sessions and expert-led discussions, providing practical insights into mediation techniques and career pathways.

One of the key events at the conclave will be the International Student Mediation Competition on August 10-11, 2024. Law students from around the globe will showcase their mediation skills in co-mediated sessions based on simulated scenarios. The competition, held in a hybrid format with mandatory in-person participation for Indian teams, aims to foster talent, promote innovative mediation approaches, and encourage cross-cultural dialogue. Winners will receive cash prizes totaling INR 100,000. The essay competition invites participants to submit essays on mediation-related topics, with selected essays published in a book and winners awarded cash prizes worth INR 100,000.
