Bangalore: Manipal University, Manipal and Cranfield University, United Kingdom entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on February 14, 2017 to collaborate in the areas of gas turbine systems, energy, precision agriculture, manufacturing and water technology.
The MoU was signed by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, the Vice Chancellor Manipal University and Sir Peter John Gregson Chief Executive and Vice Chancellor of Cranfield University during his visit to Bengaluru on the occasion of the 11th Aero India show.
The MoU was signed in Bengaluru; and also present on the occasion were Dr. Satish Shenoy B, Director Research – Technical, Manipal University; Dr. Suresh Sampath, Director – Gas Turbine Systems & Engineering; Dr. Simon Harwood, Director of Defence and Security; and Dr. Venkat Sastry, Senior Lecturer, Centre for Simulation and Analytics, Cranfield University, United Kingdom.
The MoU also includes dual degree programs for postgraduate students, exchange of researchers including faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, the exchange of scholarly and pedagogical materials, the coordination of collaborative research programs, joint workshops and conferences, and facilitating student internship and entrepreneurship.
