New Delhi: Union HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, while replying to the starred question in Rajya Sabha said that the deadline to submit suggestions on draft of New Education Policy is extended for a month, till 31st, July 2019. The draft of New Education policy has been put on a public domain from May 31st this year and the deadline to submit suggestions from public was till 30thJune, 2019.

The Minister informed that till date around fifty thousand suggestions/ comments have been received. He added that the deadline has been extended to invite more suggestions from public and all stakeholders and to increase participation in framing the policy.

The committee led by Shri K Kasturirangan has submitted draft of New Education policy to Union HRD Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyalin New Delhi on 31st May. The draft of New Education policy talks about the reforms in education system of the country and holistic development of all the students.
