Bengaluru : Mudrex, a Bengaluru and San Francisco-based Y-Combinator-backed crypto investing platform, today announced the launch of the Web.3 0 community called “WAGMI” on the occasion of National Youth Day for young minds. WAGMI is a student-led community that was founded to bridge the technological gap after a thorough hypothesis testing period for 6 months.

‘We all are going to make it’ or ‘WAGMI’ is a commonly used phrase to support and encourage the Web 3.0 technologies and communities. The phrase truly embodies the spirit of the crypto, blockchain, and Web3 community in celebrating working and building for a common goal and purpose i.e., to reinvent the internet and finance.

WAGMI has partnered with 20 clubs across top 15 colleges and universities in India including IITs, NITs, ISB, FMS, and MDI in locations such as Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras, Guwahati, Kanpur, Dhanbad, and Roorkee. It is an initiative by Mudrex that aims to encourage students towards innovation in Web 3.0 space through events like live projects, trivias, case competitions, AMA sessions, and panel discussions with industry experts. These events are meant to give students the opportunity to learn about Web 3.0 from people who are knowledgeable in the field, as well as to connect with other like minded students.

The community is an invite-only club that consists of nearly 1200+ Web 3.0 enthusiasts. The student-led community operates with the help of Ambassadors who run the community by being the primary thought leaders. While the Contributors on the other hand are the community managers who look after the activities to be held and how to engage the community members.

After conducting the survey, 54% of students stated that they are likely to recommend WAGMI to their peers. The community has also seen an average growth of 79.75% month on month and 23% of engagement.

“Web 3.0 is all about communities, WAGMI is a platform for many future unicorns by combining the best talents in India”, says Ashrith Reddy, a Contributor of WAGMI from ISB, Hyderabad.

“I have found WAGMI to be a game-changer in the realm of Web 3.0. The club has given me a space to learn and delve into this new area in an enjoyable way, while also connecting with other community members who share similar interests”, says Medhawi Kriti, an Ambassador of WAGMI from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi.

“I would say setting up WAGMI at MDI was a life transforming experience for me. We are looking forward to many more engagements ahead like case competitions, fun cultural activities, etc. The entire initiative has built a sense of brotherhood amongst WEB 3.0 enthusiasts in the college and the rewards have roped in many more curious minds”, Bhanu Sripada, a member of WAGMI from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

Commenting on the launch, Edul Patel, CEO & Co-founder of Mudrex, said, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of WAGMI. At Mudrex, we believe in the power of technology to drive innovation and change. We believe that WAGMI will provide a valuable platform for students to learn, connect, and grow, and we are confident that this community will make a meaningful impact on the world of technology.
