Greater Noida – The NIU Cricket Challenge Trophy 2025, hosted by Noida International University (NIU), concluded with a spectacular finale as NIU Blue emerged victorious, defeating Amity University Noida by 45 runs to claim the coveted trophy.
The three-day tournament, organized at Noida International University, saw enthusiastic participation from 28 universities across the Delhi NCR region, showcasing sportsmanship, talent, and teamwork on the cricket field.

In the knockout stage, top universities, including HB College, Sharda University, IMT, IILM, NIET, GNIOT, AKGEC, Galgotias College, Galgotias University, and Amity University, DME, Dronacharya University clashed in highly competitive matches. Advancing to the quarterfinals, NIU Blue, AKGC, GNIOT, and Amity secured emphatic wins, with NIU Blue defeating their opponent by 68 runs, AKGC winning by 7 wickets, GNIOT by 6 wickets, and Amity by 33 runs.
The semi-finals further intensified the competition. NIU Blue overcame AKGC by 18 runs, while Amity edged past GNIOT with a 15-run win, setting up an electrifying showdown.
In the much-anticipated final, NIU Blue dominated Amity University, sealing victory by 45 runs and lifting the NIU Cricket Challenge Trophy 2025. The crowd erupted in celebration as NIU Blue’s performance capped a thrilling tournament.
The highlight of the tournament was Kuldeep Bhati, who was named Player of the Tournament for his remarkable contribution of 170 runs and 1 wicket across matches. His all-around brilliance proved crucial in NIU Blue’s title-winning journey. Atharv Tyagi delivered an outstanding performance in the NIU Cricket Challenge Trophy, scoring a remarkable 108 runs off just 27 balls, which included 13 sixes and 6 fours.
The event began with an energetic opening ceremony at NIU’s state-of-the-art cricket ground, marking the start of three days filled with sporting excitement, camaraderie, and competitive spirit.
