India : Pearl Academy, India’s leading creative education institution, proudly presented the celebrated Rimzim Dadu Label, as the designer unveiled her latest collection at the 17th edition of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2024. Pearl Academy offers its graduates an opportunity to showcase at the prestigious India Couture Week. Rimzim Dadu studied Fashion Design and Technology at Pearl Academy, Delhi Campus in 2006.
The immersive runway presentation, titled “Stucco,” was showcased at the Taj Palace, New Delhi, on July 30, 2024.
Stucco is a celebration of historical grandeur and modern innovation, seamlessly blending the opulence of Baroque architecture with Dadu’s avant-garde aesthetic. Each piece is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, innovative design, and the timeless allure of Baroque-inspired fashion.
The collection showcased exaggerated silhouettes with corset tops, modern lehengas, sculptural sarees, and sherwanis and tuxedos for men. A striking combination of deep ruby red, antique gold, and burnt orange dominated the collection, reflecting the richness of Baroque artistry. These colours enhanced the interplay of light and shadow, a hallmark of both Baroque design and Dadu’s aesthetic.
Renowned actress and supermodel, Sobhita Dhulipala walked the ramp as the showstopper for the Rimzim Dadu Label, adding a touch of glamour and elegance to the presentation.
