Mumbai : SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain Global), ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist, Wall Street Journal, Forbes and many other prestigious publications, announced today key career statistics and placement trends for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program from 2021 to 2023. Notably, Australia emerged as the choice placement location for the school’s undergrads, with over 60% opting to pursue their careers in Australia upon graduation. Other placement locations include the USA, UAE, Brazil, India, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia are the other top placement locations.

Graduates of the program have also witnessed remarkable success in terms of average salaries, with figures averaging around AUD 65,000. Across diverse domains, including finance, marketing, sales, and business development, SP Jain Global undergrads have made significant strides, securing positions at leading organisations such as Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Dell Technologies, Emirates, Frost & Sullivan, Grant Thornton, JPMorgan, Walsh Bay Partners, Uber, Samsung, NSW Government, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers, among others.

“The prominence of Australia as the top placement location underscores the robustness of our BBA program and the immense opportunities it offers to our graduates,” remarked Dr. Vaidyanathan “Vaidy” Jayaraman, Dean of Undergraduate Programs at SP Jain Global. “This trend reflects the strong ties we’ve built with industry partners in Australia, as well as the calibre of talent our students bring to the table. Our unique tri-city model, spanning Singapore/Mumbai, Dubai, and Sydney, has played a pivotal role in shaping global careers by providing students with diverse perspectives and experiences across international business hubs.”

Demand for business graduates in Australia is strong, driven by steady economic and population growth. Organisations across the country require skilled professionals for roles in accounting, marketing, human resources, and management. According to the Lerna Courses report, Is a Business Degree Worth It? Australia Guide, the greatest demand is in human resource management, business analytics, finance, logistics, and digital marketing. These fields offer significant career opportunities and potential for high salaries. The Skills Priority List (2023 edition) also indicates above-average future demand for jobs such as human resource adviser and management consultant, with current shortages in auditing and marketing.

Reflecting on his journey, Nishit Kedia, a Class of 2023 graduate from India, shared, “The SP Jain Global BBA program helped me explore different facets of business in the first two years, which tremendously aided me in gaining clarity on the area of business I was interested in. Subsequently, it helped me develop my commercial acumen and financial prowess. Above all, the curriculum, tri-city model, and extracurricular activities were designed in such a way that they exponentially developed my personality, confidence, attitude, and soft skills, which are quintessential for success in entry-level corporate roles and business alike. The program’s emphasis on skill development, personal growth, and practical industry projects helped me gain crucial internship experience at startups and corporations alike while studying. I eventually secured a position as a Financial Analyst at Lyka Pet Wellness, one of Australia’s top startups.”

SP Jain Global’s BBA is a 4-year multi-city program accredited by Australia’s Tertiary Education Quality & Standards Agency (TEQSA). Students travel to Singapore/Mumbai for Year 1, Dubai for Year 2, and Sydney for Years 3 and 4, graduating with an Australian degree and the option to apply for post study work rights in Australia—an opportunity many students embrace after discovering the appeal of living and working in Australia.
