Bangalore – Strate School of Design Bangalore is excited to welcome its 7th batch of 84 dynamic, aspiring designers from every nook and corner of the country. Students who have selected Strate as their home for the next three to five years of their academic journey through the school’s Bachelor’s (3 yrs.), Honours (4 yrs.), and Master’s (2yrs.) programs.
Known as one of India’s premier design schools, Strate School of Design has global campuses operating from Paris, Lyon, and Bangalore. Thus, this new batch falls at a significant time in the history of Strate and the continued development of world-class designers who are going to shape the future of design.
This batch is the strongest expression of the very philosophy of diversity and inclusivity that Strate School of Design aspires to uphold because it comprises students spread across most regions of India, different cultural backgrounds, and a perfect balance between genders. The students who have been selected for potential and passion in design bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives to the table, which will help in enriching the community at Strate and truly enhancing the learning environment where creativity thrives.
The specially designed two-day orientation program allows these new students to fit into the vibrant culture at Strate. Agendas include hands-on activities whereby students discover design thinking. Team-building exercises promote bonding and foster a sense of belonging among the new students. It is in such activities that Strate instills creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, three central values in its design education approach.
“Our induction program is just the initiation into the exciting journey at Strate,” says Thomas Dal, Dean, Strate School of Design. “We sincerely believe in transforming these talented minds into world-class designers who will go on to make a difference in the industry. We find this year’s batch to be very promising, and we shall look forward to their growth and accomplishments in the coming years.”
One of the fresher’s, Ryan, shared his orientation experience. “The orientation program has been such a great experience till now. The activities have not only bonded us as one but have made me feel that I’m a part of a creative and supportive environment. I’m eagerly anticipating the start of classes and exploring what awaits us at Strate.”
