Gurgaon: A workshop was organized at KIIT World school by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Space Zone and Martin Group India on “Satellite launch Vehicle Mission-2023”. On this auspicious occasion, Milind Chowdhary, General Secretary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation and Manisha Chowdhary, Maharashtra State Coordinator of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam International Foundation were present. The mission aims towards achieving Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s dream of launching 150 Pico satellites on a single rocket.

During this, the various schools from the Delhi-NCR participated in the workshop and made three pico satellites with the help of reusable rocket material. The organization will build and launch 150 pico satellites in collaboration with 5000 students from colleges and schools around the country, ranging from classes 5 to 12. The satellites will be launched on February 19th, 2023, from Pattipulam village in Kancheepuram district of Tamil Nadu, India.

Speaking on this, Neelima Kamrah, Principal of KIIT World School, said that this will be the first time in history that 150 pico satellites will be launched simultaneously, and that all of these satellites will be built by students. She further told that this will be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
