New Delhi – The three-day International Conclave on Materials, Energy and Climate organized at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, Delhi by International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), Sweden, came to a close. The event was inaugurated by Prahlad Singh Patel, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries and Jal Shakti. The Conclave aims to combine resources and abilities to create advanced technologies that would hasten the transition to a climate-neutral society.
The conclave was organized under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. In order to address a sustainable environment for the next generation, this conclave included sessions to examine current trends, profound understanding of clean energy, and neutral climate among academia and industry. There were 336 abstracts submitted to the conclave from as many as 19 nations, and 263 presentations were delivered from America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
The conclave was distinguished by the eminent presence of dignitaries including Dr. Ashutosh Tiwari, Secretary General of IAAM, Dr. Amita Dev, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for women, Dr. Rajendra Singh, Chairman of People’s World Commission on Drought and Flood (Waterman of India), R. K. Tiwari, IAS and Chairman of UPSRTC, Dharmendra Gupta, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Rajeev Kumar Mehajan, Advisor Science and Engineering Research Board, Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
While addressing the event, Dr. Ashutosh Tiwari, Secretary General of IAAM and Director of Institute of Advanced Material, Sweden, said, “The IAAM program’s key principles of sustainable development, youth councils, and women’s empowerment are all in line with the goals of the Indian government. We believe that by working with PM Modi’s vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future” not only India the world will be climate neutral.”
The dignitaries presented also conducted a field study on water conservation method; rainwater harvesting with Tarun Bharat Sangh, an environmental NGO at Alwar, Rajasthan. Earlier, the conclave was conducted in China, this time it has been held in India and will be organized in Dhaka in the future.
