University of Delhi world-leader for alumni outcomes; IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, Mumbai University stand out in QS Graduate Employability Rankings- 2018

London, 12th September 2017: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) are India’s strongest providers of highly employable graduates. They rank in the 191-200 category globally in the  third edition of the QS Graduate Employability Rankings- 2018.

University of Mumbai stands at the third spot among Indian universities with rank in the 200-250 range globally. QS Quacquarelli Symonds, global higher education analysts and career advice specialists, have announced the world’s 500 leading universities for the nurturing of graduate employability.

Meanwhile, the University of Delhi is the nation’s leading provider of highly successful alumni, measured using QS’s Alumni Outcomes indicator. The University of Delhi (201st-250th overall) receives one of the highest scores in the world for QS’s Alumni Outcomes indicator. It scores 96.6/100, the 21st-highest score worldwide.

This indicator measures how successful a university is at producing highly-achieving graduates. The University of Mumbai also scores highly for this indicator – 85.0/100. Also ranked in the 201-250 category are the University of Mumbai and Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). In total, eight Indian institutions are ranked.

Stanford University is the world-leader, followed by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and Harvard University (3rd). The United States is home to five of the world’s top 10 universities for student employability – and all five hail from either California or Boston, Massachusetts.

Competing with the leading institutions from the US and UK are the University of Sydney (4th) and University of Melbourne (7th).

Asia’s leading university is Tsinghua University (10th), based on its high Employer Reputation score and outstanding nexus of employer-student connections.
