XLRI Jamshedpur and Accenture Sign MoU to Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration

Jamshedpur  – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accenture to forge a long-term partnership aimed at fostering deeper collaboration between academia and industry. This milestone agreement was signed during Accenture’s visit to the XLRI campus and marks a new chapter in the enduring relationship between the two institutions.

The MoU was signed in the presence of senior leadership from both sides, including- Fr. S George, Director, XLRI, Prof. Kanagaraj A., Convenor – Placements and Professor of Finance, Prof. Sanjay Patro, Dean – Academics and Prof. Sunil Sarangi, along with senior faculty members of XLRI.

From Accenture, the ceremony was graced by Ms. Lakshmi Chandrasekharan, Senior Managing Director & Chief Human Resources Officer, and Mr. Suresh Nanduru, India Lead – Strategy and Consulting Global Network.

The MoU, outlines a strategic framework for collaboration across the following key areas:

  • Student hiring and internship opportunities (summer placements, live projects, pre-placement offers)

  • Joint research, case study development, and knowledge sharing initiatives

  • Guest lectures, workshops, and faculty engagement

  • Executive education, leadership development, and custom-designed programs

  • Thought leadership through CXO talks, conclaves, and roundtables

  • Innovation and sustainability initiatives aligned with Accenture’s global priorities

This collaboration was initiated under the leadership of Prof. Kanagaraj, and was executed and coordinated by Mr. Rajni Ranjan, Vice President & Head of Placements, XLRI.

Following the MoU signing, XLRI hosted a Leadership Talk featuring Ms. Lakshmi Chandrasekharan and Mr. Suresh Nanduru at the Tata Auditorium, attended by over 1,000 students from the Business Management (BM), Human Resource Management (HRM), General Management Programme (GMP), Faculty & Staff from XLRI Jamshedpur.

The session explored the theme of leadership in a dynamic and AI-driven world, covering:

  • Navigating real-world leadership challenges

  • The evolving impact of artificial intelligence on business and people strategies

  • Future trends shaping consulting and digital transformation

  • Career journeys, leadership values, and purpose-driven growth

The dialogue offered students rich insights into industry expectations and leadership practices, further strengthening XLRI’s mission to shape responsible and future-ready leaders.

XLRI expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the Accenture leadership team for their continued support and for reinforcing the bridge between academia and corporate practice.
