Their concerted efforts have materialized into women-led initiatives, particularly aimed at students attending partnered colleges such as the Nehru Group of Institutions and M.Kumarasamy College of Engineering.
Under the campaign titled Maglir Mattum, which translates to #GoFearless, Zolo Scholar endeavours to benefit a total of 300 female students. These initiatives encompass a range of activities geared towards enhancing mental wellness, promoting cyber security awareness, and imparting self-defence skills. By fostering a supportive environment and providing valuable resources, Zolo Scholar aims to instill a sense of confidence and resilience among young women.
Building upon the success of previous initiatives like EmpowHER: A Journey to Selfhood and SmartHER Phone: A Girl’s Guide to Mobile Safety launched in 2023, Zolo Scholars remains committed to equipping young women with the necessary tools to navigate and excel in today’s dynamic world. Through Maglir Mattum #GoFearless, the organization is poised to further its mission of delivering community-led activities tailored to the specific needs of female students who have migrated to cities for higher education.
