Silchar: Assam University, a Central University established in 1994, has released official recruitment notification for filling up teaching positions for its various departments. The recruitment is open for its Silchar and Diphu campuses. There are 33 vacant posts: 25 Silchar and 8 Diphu. The recruitment notification informed that the positions of Professor and Associate Professor shown above from Sl No 7-15 against Silchar campus and 1-6 against Diphu campus were last advertised as rolling advertisement vide no 1/2017 dated 07/03/2017. The candidates who had already applied to a position in response of employment notification no, 1/2017 dated 07/03/2017 and 3/2017 dated 30.06.2017 need not apply again, however they may send their revised application as per prescribed new format of application and submit it as per instructions and guidelines of the university; no application fees shall be required for such applicants.
