Pilani: Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani invites applications for faculty positions under both categories: On Campus & Off Campus Faculty Positions. These positions are available for its four campuses: Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad, and Dubai. The closing date for submission of applications is 17 June 2017.
The on campus faculty positions are available under various levels such as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in the following disciplines: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics & Instrument Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Comp Science & Information System Engineering, Biological Sciences, Economics & Finance, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences, Physics, and Chemistry.
Qualification and Experience for on campus faculty positions:
BITS Pilani informed that candidates with a recent PhD in the respective discipline will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor, while those with post-PhD experience of 6 years or more may be considered for higher positions.
In the departments of Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics & Instru. Engg., the Institute may consider a few exceptional candidates without PhD, for appointment as Lecturer for up to 6 years, to enable them to contribute to teaching while pursuing a PhD Degree.
BITS Pilani also invites academics and experienced industry professionals with an outstanding background to pursue an academic career as faculty members to teach in off-campus WILP programmes and mentor on-campus students undergoing Practice School in industry at Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi (NCR) and Mumbai.
Opportunities are also available for suitably qualified professionals, especially from industry, with a passion to teach in these programmes on a part-time basis during evenings or weekends. Along with suitable honorarium, such an engagement will also provide opportunity to interact with our regular faculty, and participate in curriculum/content development.
