Jammu: The Cluster University of Jammu, a state university based in Srinagar and Jammu state, invites applications from the eligible candidates on all India basis for the posts of Assistant Professors on Permanent basis in the UGC prescribed pay scale of 15600 – 39100 + 6000 (Pre-revised). The total number of vacant positions are 16 in 9 departments.

Qualifications and experience:
1) Assistant Professor –Physics/ Chemistry / Mathematics / Geology/ English/Commerce/ Botany/ Zoology:
(i)Good academic record as defined by the Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed ) at the Masters Degree level, in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign university.
(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, candidate who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of the Ph.D Degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.
A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and masters level for the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe / Differently-abled (physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. This is however permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace marks procedures.
