New Delhi, 08 November 2017: There are 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), which are Institutes of National Importance. The recruitment and pay packages of teaching staff of NITs is governed by norms issued by the Ministry of HRD. No doubt, the salary packages are attractive in NITs.

Currently, there are seven NITs where recruitment window is open for faculty posts. The total number of vacant positions in these seven NITs is expected be more than 6,50 posts.  National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur has released recruitment notification for appointing 123 faculty posts. Here, the closing date for submission of application is 24 November 2017 (5.00 P.M).

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur              is on faculty recruitment drive for appointing 104 teaching posts. Here, the closing date for submission of application is 17 November 2017 (4 PM).              The other NITs where faculty recruitment is going on are as followed: NIT Delhi, NIT Raipur, NIT Trichy and NIT Allahabad, and NIT Silchar.

Meanwhile, National Project Implementation Unit, under by the Ministry of HRD, invites job applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant Professor (on contract) for Engineering Colleges under the TEQIP Project. The total number of vacant posts are 1,221 in 53 colleges. The vacant  Assistant Professors available in 16 disciplines. The closing date for submission of application is on 19 November 2017.
