Mumbai: In India there are 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs). After IITs, there are top rated engineering and technological education institutes. These institutes provide good career opportunities to prospective candidates. The faculty recruitment procedure in these institutes is governed by the Flexible Faculty Recruitment Rules and relevant instructions from Ministry of HRD.
Current, there are six NITs where recruitment is going on: NIT Kurukshetra, NIT Karnataka, NIT Raipur, NIT Silchar, NIT Jamshedpur, and NIT Delhi.
Out of these NIT Silchar is hiring 137 faculty posts while NIT Jamshedpur is recruiting 123 faculty members. Further, NIT Kurukshetra and NIT Karnataka is recruiting 81 and 92 faculty members, respectively.
